About Amy

Amy Rudnick will make your special event special. With over twenty years experience in the special events field, Amy has planned and executed hundreds of events ranging in size from parties of two to two thousand.

Since moving to the Berkshires in 1998, she has specialized in fundraising events and worked for many of the region’s premier cultural organizations. Amy produces season opening galas, fundraising events and donor events for Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival, Shakespeare & Company, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Berkshire Opera and Community Access to the Arts and orchestrates the Annual Harvest Dinner for Berkshire Grown. Amy has also planned events for other area institutions including the Barrington Stage Company, Berkshire Museum and The Edith Wharton Restoration.

 Additionally, Amy consults with non-profit and cultural organizations on all aspects of special events, including the ways in which special events can be effectively marketed to generate maximum revenue for an institution.

Serving the private sector as well, Amy has coordinated numerous events and celebrations for corporations and individuals.

 As Director of Event and Conference Services at the American Museum of Natural History in New York through 1997, Amy managed receptions, dinners, meetings and promotional events for a diverse group of clients including Goldman Sachs, Nissan, Microsoft, The Grammy Awards, Spike Lee, Revlon and Human Rights Watch. As a result of the success of the event program that Amy led, her department generated significant income for the Museum which increased significantly throughout her tenure.

Dealing with such a broad range of corporations, profit and non-profit organizations, associations and individuals, has given Amy the insight to know what it takes to make an event a success.

Amy will work with you from the conceptual stage all the way through to the moment the last guest leaves. A meticulous attention to detail and a dedication to fulfilling your vision will ensure that your event is everything you imagined. Amongst the services Amy offers are:

  • Organize all aspects of special events including site selection, menu planning, decor and lighting.
  • Formulate budgets and make recommendations accordingly.
  • Advise client on all elements of event from invitations to music to menus.
  • Suggest themes, when appropriate, and carry them through.
  • Handle logistics of set-up, seating, check-in, event flow.
  • Act as liaison between client, caterer, decorators, musicians and other vendors.
  • Assess technical requirements of programs and presentations.
  • Accommodate special needs of VIP guests and program participants.
  • Supervise catering, set-up, audiovisual and break down crews.
  • Conduct any necessary debriefings and settling of accounts following event.
